Eight years. Nine products. One conviction.
We didn't set out to build a portfolio company. We set out to help one merchant — and kept listening from there.
It began with a single idea — build a tool that helps people launch an online store. That idea turned into J2Store, a Joomla extension that let anyone create an eCommerce site in minutes. It took off. For a small team starting out, that first taste of product-market fit felt like lightning in a bottle.
WordPress was where the action was heading, and we noticed a gap: no great discount or loyalty plugins that actually felt good to use. So we built Flycart — a plugin for WooCommerce store owners who wanted to drive more sales and keep customers coming back. It changed the game for us and put us on the map.
We tried and failed first — Checkoutful didn't land. We took the hit, went back to first principles, and rebuilt it as Retainful. What started as a simple cart recovery tool grew into a full email marketing automation platform used by thousands of brands every day.
We kept listening. When merchants asked for loyalty, we built WPLoyalty. When they wanted upsells, we built UpsellWP. Shopjar, Afflr, Spark Editor, WPBundle — each product is an answer to a real problem heard from real merchants. Customers come first isn't a tagline, it's how we decide what to build next.
Nine products. A team of 40+. Merchants in 150+ countries. And still only scratching the surface of what's possible. The future of eCommerce isn't coming — it's shipping from our desks in Coimbatore, right now.
